In his book, Dr. Bell, author, historian, and professor, offers a fresh look at the impact of the American Revolution by focusing on disenfranchised people and minorities in the colonies, including free and enslaved Black people. Dr. Bell conveys the impact of these developments at home and abroad by grounding the narrative in the gripping stories of individuals.
