Mission / Purpose
Established in 1969, the Prince George’s County Genealogical Society is the oldest Maryland county genealogical society in continuous existence. Its objectives are to collect, preserve, and disseminate genealogical knowledge and information, particularly material that deals with Prince George’s County, Maryland. The Society Library housed at 12219 Tulip Grove Drive in Bowie, MD is open every Wednesday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (except we close at 2:00 pm on the first Wednesday of each month). The Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational and cultural organization. Contributions, gifts, and endowments may be tax deductible; check with your tax advisor.

Meeting Info
We have begun holding in-person meetings that distant members may also join virtually. Locations may vary; please refer to the Events page on this site monthly to see the current location. Members will receive a invitation to a virtual meeting a few days before it is held. Non-members may click on the red text link to email the
president and request an invitation. The public is welcome to join us in person or virtually.
